Everything a group organiser needs to know
St Christopher’s has been taking group hostel bookings long enough to know which questions matter most. What follows covers the practical details: room arrangements, catering, and arrival logistics, so that by the time you get in touch, you already know what you want.
We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to group ages. Restrictions vary between properties, so the best approach is to ask when you get in touch. One consistent requirement across the network: all under-18 guests must travel with a responsible adult or appointed group leader
Once your group booking is confirmed, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total invoice is due within 5 working days. The balance of 90% must be paid at least 28 days prior to arrival. Payment can be made by bank transfer or card, including Visa, Mastercard and Switch.
Keeping groups together is a priority. We aim to house your group in the same room and on the same floor throughout your stay, with no shared dorm space with other guests. Any specific arrangements can be discussed when you get in touch.
The offer varies from property to property, so do not hesitate to ask when you enquire; we are here to make your trip something worth remembering. Across the network, groups can take advantage of bike rental, free walking tours and pub crawls, as well as daily events in the bar. Most properties also have dedicated space for private events, conferences and group gatherings, so whatever your group needs, it is worth asking.
Parking facilities are not available at most St Christopher’s properties, as the majority are located in city centres with excellent public transport connections. The exception is our Vienna property, which does have parking available. For all other destinations, our team can recommend local parking options nearby.
If your group is arriving before 3pm or needs to leave luggage after checkout, please let us know in advance. Luggage storage is not always guaranteed, and a fee may be involved, so early notice gives us the best chance of making suitable arrangements for your group.
